Digi Youth Arts + La Boite Theatre Company Performance Residency

As part of our remit to develop the next generation of First Nations performance artists, we have continued our partnership with La Boite Theatre Company to offer an Indigenous young person or team of Indigenous young people the opportunity to develop a new performance work as part of the remake - regenerate - reclaim program.

Digi Youth Arts will provide mentoring, producing support and a budget of $8000.00 to support the development of a new performance work by a young First Nations creative. This development will occur at La Boite Theatre Company, Kelvin Grove from Tuesday 8 October to Friday 18 October 2019 (weekdays, 9.00am to 5.00pm).

This is an identified residency for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person/s. Digi Youth Arts works (in a development context) with practitioners 30 years and younger.

Digi Youth Arts + Backbone Youth Arts Residency

We are partnering with Backbone Youth Arts to provide an opportunity for a team of Indigenous young people to facilitate their own festival or event series at Backbone’s East Brisbane Bowls Club venue the weekend of 1st to 4th May 2020.

Digi Youth Arts will provide mentoring, some producing support and a budget of $25 000.00 to support the planning and delivery of a festival or event series. The team of creatives will work closely with both Digi Youth Arst to deliver the work.

This is an identified residency for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person/s. Digi Youth Arts works (in a development context) with practitioners 30 years and younger.
