GOOD WAYZ: 10 Years of DYA

Digi Youth Arts (DYA) burst into Meanjin with ‘GOOD WAYZ: 10 Years of DYA’ on Sunday 30 July at La La Land, Fortitude Valley. The event full of Blak Joy showcased eight of the deadliest First Nations musicians from our local community and interstate. As a platform to amplify the voices and perspectives of artists as they share their stories and ideas through music, ‘GOOD WAYZ: 10 Years of DYA’ supported artists as they pave the way for future generations.

‘GOOD WAYZ: 10 Years of DYA’ was a celebration of Blak music for all with the stellar line up featuring DancingWater, DENNI, Djanaba, Eleea, Kanada The Loop, Louis Libran, Rudy Matoy and Selve. These incredible artists are leaders in the Blak music scene and we can’t see them GO OFF.

This event doubled as a celebration of DYA’S tenth birthday! Since its inception DYA has been a powerhouse in the First Nations Youth Arts sector in so-called Queensland and ‘GOODWAYZ: 10 YEARS OF DYA’ is a celebration and reflection of the work DYA has done for the First Nations Arts community since 2013.
