DYA launches to CHANGE

On Saturday 7th June, Digi Youth Arts launched with a night of story-telling and celebration. Guests were treated to a multi-arts exhibition & performance that shared indigenous young people's ideas on CHANGE. We heard stories about land rights pioneering grandparents, world leaders like Rosa Parks and personal reflections on identity. As always, when you give our young people the change to tell their stories, the world changes...

But the truth is...

We must speak to connect. Our words are very important. Digi Youth Arts & The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health are exploring the identity issues of indigenous youth living in Logan. We will workshop, write and produce a play starring many of the young people in this clip.
