Name: Aidan Rowlingson
Mob/identity: Butchulla Mob of K'gari (Fraser Island)

You might remember me from previous DYA projects such as: Anthro Apology a play as a part of the Unsettle project (I played your friendly neighbourhood entomologist)

Top three moments of APAM?
Being a part of TOPP Mob was probably my favourite part. Followed by the talents of Miss Ellaneous and Hannah Bronte and the Fempress girls.

If you could invite 3 people to dinner, who would they be?:
I would invite Rupaul for some story telling, Meryl Streep to ask why she gave me up for adoption, and Oprah Winfrey because not only is she an incredible women but she will also sticky tape some gifts under our chairs.

Fave song (this month): would have to be Palace by Sam Smith.

Any advice for other First Nation's youth:
Know yourself! Learn who you are and what brought you here.
Show yourself! Show who you are through your art.
Grow yourself! Don't let anyone get in the way of what you want.

Who should we profile next and why?
Phi. Cause she has got some good stories to tell.

DYA Youth Artist Profile - Dylan Mooney

Name: Dylan Mooney

Mob/Identity: Torres Strait Islander from Thursday Island and Yuibera man

You might remember me from previous DYA projects such as: Chair guy from Dislocated, Street Art, Visual Art. Pretty much the guy with a sketch book that follows Alethea around.

If you could invite 3 people to dinner, who would they be?: Probably Alethea, Declan & anyone else cause dinner would somehow turn into 'dancing' and who doesn’t like 'dancing'?

Top three moments of 2017: Jungle Love, unsettle Street Art and painting a mural for Queensland Rail.

Any advice for other First Nation's youth: Be ambitious, take risks, but more importantly be proud of who you are, never forget where you come from and stay humble.

Who should we profile next and why?: Aidan, I reckon he’ll have some funny answers & we’re low key besties now (picture me rolling my eyes)...

If you could invite 3 people to the album launch of unsettle music, who would they be?: Phi, Steph and Gina because it would be really awkward if the band was missing half the people in it and I can’t sing as high as Phi can.

Any advice for other First Nation's youth?: Enjoy it, you have a connection to something that most people don’t have, when you share and learn your connection with other mob it is always a fun time, and mob always sticks together.

Who should we profile next and why? : D-MONEY (Dylan Mooney), because I’m low key hoping he will draw a mural for every answer, he won’t, but that’s the dream.
